A Double Boiler

A double boiler, helps to melt the chocolate (Tempered dark chocolate) 

It is nothing but cascade of bowl and pan. i.e. a bowl placed on top of a pan of simmering water. The bowl should not touch the water, but creates a seal with the bottom pan to trap the steam produced by the simmering water. The steam produced, is heating the bowl and that melts chocolate perfectly without burning.

There are ready made double boilers available at shops. But, it’s pretty easy to make one yourself.

Using the double boiler is a traditional way of melting chocolate. But, can be melted in Microwave Oven also. This is pretty easy and quick, if you know good idea of your Microwave oven.
